PDE Consulting has submitted a planning application on behalf of Eurovia Infrastructure Limited to Thurrock Council for the erection of B8 units, an operational depot including workshop and storage facilities, ancillary facilities, parking and access on land off Burnley Road, West Thurrock, Essex, RM20 3ED.
The application was validated by Thurrock Council on 29 December 2025.
The application seeks permission for the erection of B8 industrial units together with a purpose-built operational depot designed to support Eurovia’s ongoing infrastructure and maintenance operations. The proposed development includes a workshop, storage buildings, washdown facilities, ancillary accommodation, external storage areas, staff parking and new access arrangements.
The scheme has been carefully designed to make efficient use of a sustainably located site within an established industrial area. It incorporates safe and functional vehicle movements, appropriate parking provision including electric vehicle charging points and cycle facilities, and high-quality materials that reflect the surrounding industrial context.
Sustainability has been a key consideration in the design, with roof-mounted photovoltaic panels and landscaping proposed throughout the site to enhance environmental performance and support biodiversity net gain.
If approved, the development will provide long-term employment opportunities and contribute positively to economic growth within Thurrock.
