The EA has duly made two environmental permit applications submitted by PDE on behalf of S Walsh and Son Ltd.
An application has been made for a new permit for an inert and excavation waste transfer station to be located on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
An application has also been made to vary the environmental permit for Frog Island which is located in Rainham, Essex. The permit authorises the operator to accept, store and treat construction and demolition waste to produce soil, soil substitutes and aggregate with a maximum throughput of 209,000 tonnes per annum. The normal variation application is to amend the annual throughputs only.
