We are pleased to announce on behalf of Eurovia Roadstone Limited that Suffolk County Council have granted planning permission to allow the erection of a covered store at Foxhall Quarry, Ipswich.
The covered store will shelter road planings to protect them from adverse weather until they are re-used to provide asphalt materials for the construction industry. One of the main energy consumptive processes of the asphalt operation is the drying and heating of the raw materials prior to mixing it with bitumen to produce the final product. The drier the materials are, before they are fed into the plant, the less energy is needed to dry and heat the asphalt to the required temperature to produce the final product ready for sale.
