PDE Consulting Limited recently prepared a planning application on behalf of Strabag AG for the variation of Condition 9 attached to planning permission reference H/2021/0248 relating to operations on land at Plot 2, Greenland Road, Hartlepool.
The application sought to allow construction operations to take place between 07:00 to 19:00 Monday to Sunday. Previously, the restriction upon working hours limited Strabag AG’s ability to undertake construction work as it was difficult to arrange deliveries of materials to the Site within the permitted construction hours as a consequence of supplier availability and delivery windows.
Planning permission was granted by Hartlepool Borough Council on 29 November 2022.
The grant of planning permission is welcome news for Strabag AG as it allows construction activities at the Site to take place for a longer period each day and for seven days per week. It also allows for greater flexibility with regard to the delivery of construction materials to the Site, helping reduce the lead time for the commencement of Site operations, ensuring that Strabag AG can fulfil important customer contracts.
