On the 31 of March 2017, Eurovia Infrastructure were successfully granted planning permission by Thurrock County Council for the erection and operation of a bitumen product plant on land south of Burnley Road West.
It is proposed that approximately 40,000 tonnes of raw bitumen shall be imported to the site per year and manufactured into a useable product.
