On behalf of Capital Concrete Limited, PDE Consulting Limited have submitted a planning application for the erection and use of a concrete batching plant and associated infrastructure, together with the use of an existing access road on land at Cricklewood Yard, Edgeware Road, London. The application was submitted to Barnet Council on 07 October 2020.
Should planning permission be granted it will enable Capital Concrete to relocate operations from their existing facility located at Brent Terrace which is due to be redeveloped as part of the Brent Cross Centre redevelopment. The proposed facility will make use of the consented rail freight facility at Cricklewood Yard which offers significant benefits over a non rail fed site as it reduces the need to import materials by road. The proposal will also support the ongoing regeneration of the surrounding area through the provision of concrete products.
