PDE have recently submitted two Section 73 applications to Essex County Council on behalf of SRC Limited to enable the variation of conditions attached to two planning consents at Highwood Quarry. The applications seek to enable the continuation of HGV movements off Site from Highwood Quarry between 06:00 and 07:00.
The current consents allow HGV movements off Site between 06:00 and 07:00 and are permitted for a temporary period and enable SRC to make deliveries to London for the start of morning construction shifts, enabling a greater focus upon local deliveries during the remainder of the day. Should permission be granted, SRC will be able to continue supporting the needs of their existing customer base within London as well as supporting the needs of the construction industry within surrounding areas.
