Planning permission was issued to our client SRC on 15 March 2019 for a soils washing plant to be located at Martells Quarry in Ardleigh. On 22 March 2019 the Environment Agency (EA) issued a bespoke environmental permit for the proposed waste operation.
The permit, issued to our client SRC, allows for the treatment (including washing and crushing) of up to 250,000 tonnes per annum of inert and non-hazardous wastes.
As part of the application, PDE prepared Dust and Noise Management Plans which will form part of the site specific Environmental Management System.
