On behalf of Thamesport Cement Limited, PDE Consulting Limited submitted an environmental permit application to Medway Council, for the operation of a Cement Products Plant to be located on the Isle of Grain in Kent.
The application was submitted in February 2019 for an A2 installation permit to authorise the grinding of cement clinker, as this is an activity listed in Schedule 1 of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016. Part B activities also undertaken at the Site include loading or unloading cement or cement clinker and the blending, bagging and batching of cement products.
The permit was issued in September 2019.
