PDE is pleased to announce, that we have submitted two planning applications on behalf of Allen Newport Ltd. The first application seeks to allow for a western extension to Cavenham Quarry for the extraction, processing, sale and distribution of approximately 1.1mt of sand and gravel, revised silting operations and subsequent restoration at Cavenham Quarry, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The proposed scale and nature of the development at the Site is such that a formal assessment of its environmental effects is required in pursuance of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011. Accordingly, an Environmental statement was produced and submitted alongside the planning application for the proposed development at Cavenham Quarry.
The second application that has been submitted seeks to vary a number of conditions attached to the extant planning consent for Cavenham Quarry to allow the variation of timescales, working and restoration schemes and to also allow the temporary storage of soils and silting materials within an area of the existing quarry.
We submitted both planning applications on the 16th May 2016 and we are very happy to announce that we have received confirmation from Suffolk County Council that both applications were validated on the 17th May 2016.
This is great news.
