PDE recently submitted an application to Essex County Council on behalf of SRC Limited, for the variation of Condition 6 attached to planning permission reference ESS/53/17/TEN to allow for amendments to the approved mineral extraction, landfilling and restoration schemes along with the implementation of a Planting Establishment and Management Scheme at Martells Quarry.
Should the application be successful it will allow SRC Limited to complete the working and restoration of the Quarry. The implementation of the Planting Establishment and Management Scheme will also allow for the enhancement of land within the east of Martells Yard with associated improvements to biodiversity.
